Max Boatman

Max E. Boatman, 94, of Fishers, passed away at Hamilton Trace of Fishers on July 1, 2012. He was born on November 27, 1917 to Bert and Edith (Brunk) Boatman in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was married to Geneva (Whisler) Boatman for 56 years. She preceded him in death in 1996. He had been a resident of Indianapolis for 48 years.
Max was the owner of a sales company in Indianapolis. He proudly served his country with the United States Army from 1942-1945, and was a WWII veteran.
He is survived by daughter, Marsha L. (Boatman) Weinkauf of Westfield; grandchildren, Marc E. Weinkauf and Kara J. Burgher both of of Westfield, Indiana, Erin J. Richardson of Fort Hood Texas and Brent A. Weinkauf of Gretna , Virginia and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Rev. Kevin Haines will officiate. Burial with military rites will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
