Max Pierce

Max W. Pierce, 89, of Noblesville, formerly of Marion, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on April 11, 1924 to Estell and Faye (Osborn) Pierce in Marion.
Max was vice-president of Sherriff-Goslin Roofing Company, Marion Division, retiring in 1984 after 43 years of service. He was an U.S.Army veteran of World War II serving under the command of General George Patton.
Max was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Marion, a former member of Marion and Noblesville Rotary Clubs, and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary. In his younger years Max was an accomplished marimbist.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Kathryn M. Pierce, his son Richard "Rick" (Marsha) Pierce, granddaughter Stacey (Tom) Judkins, and great-grandchildren Alyss, Wyatt, and Tommy Judkins.
Private family services will be held.
