Michael Aaron Combest

Michael Aaron Combest, 68, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at his home in Indianapolis. He was born March 12, 1941 in Groom, Texas to Cecil and Susan (Park) Combest.
Currently, Michael was a greeter at Sam's Club, 96th Street, in Indianapolis. Prior to 2005, he worked at the Sam's Club in Goshen, Indiana, for a total of 16 years with the company. He was also a delivery man for The Satationers in Elkhart, Indiana for 21 years.
Michael played as a musician in the Elkhart area as a drummer from 1970 to the early 1990's. Prior to that time, he also played in Texas. He will be greatly missed and was a kind and gentle man who many referred to as, "what a guy Mike".
Michael and his wife, Jeannine, were married on September 30, 1972 and recently celebrated 37 years together.
He is survived by wife, Jeannine (Knowles) Combest; daughter, Julie Elaine Garret of Odesa, Texas; daughter, Penny (John) Henderson of Ludington, Michigan; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Beard; and two brothers, Park Combest and Douglas Combest.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury, Indiana, with Rev. Rob Mifflin officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Visitation will also be held Thursday, November 5, 5:00 - 7:00PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road. Burial will be at Keightly Cemetery in Shipshewana, Indiana.
