Michael J. Walker

Michael J. Walker, 78, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home.  He was born on September 21, 1944 to the late William and Penny (Gray) Walker in Muncie, Indiana.

As a child, Mike helped out in his grandparents’ grocery store. In 1961, he started at Standard Grocery where he worked for 30 years.  Mike then became a food broker until his retirement.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.  Mike loved his chocolate lab, Molly.  Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and supported them in all of their activities.   

Mike is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patti Walker; sons, Michael (Kelley) Walker and Patrick (Rebecca) Walker; grandchildren, Nico (Ashly) Walker, Sam Walker, Casey Walker, Clayton Walker, and Carly Walker; great-grandchildren, Clay, Kade and Charlotte; brother, Patric G. (Lisa) Walker; and brother-in-law, David (Eunice) Vincent.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, with services at 7:30 pm, on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.  Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Selma, Indiana.
