Minnie Von Holten, 99, of Brookston, IN, formerly of Noblesville, In, went home to the Lord on Monday, Dec. 20, at her Son's home in Brookston.
Born Dina Jacobmina Kladder, on Dec 4, 1911 in Chicago, IL to the late Jacob and Dina Knot Kladder, immigrants from Holland. She attended Timothy Christian School, in Chicago.
Sept. 15, 1937, she married Hubert Christian Von Holten, he died Feb. 24, 1998. They farmed and raised their family in Francisville, IN.
Minnie was an avid bowler, bowling on four leagues until the age of 91. She loved God and spent many hours reading her Bible and listening to hymns. She watched every Colts game and loved learning about politics, history and religion.
She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by four sons, Hubert Von Holten (wife, Kathy) of Brookston, IN, Robert Von Holten (Wife, Gail) of Noblesville, IN, David Von Holten (wife, Faye) of Aurora, CO, and Dan Von Holten (wife, Ruth Ann) of Kennewick, WA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Carl, seven brothers, four sisters, and a grandson.
Services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 7:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with calling beginning prior to the service at 5:00PM. Pastor Bob Brenneman will officiate.
