Minor Best, 66, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Clarksville, IN. He was born on December 23, 1944 to Everett and Kathryne (Tate) Best in Charleston, IL.
Minor received a Bachelor and Master of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University, and the Illinois CPA Certificate in 1973. He worked as a Real Estate Developer/Broker in the Indianapolis area for over 35 years. Previously, Minor served as General Manager of Crossmann Properties, Partner and Executive Vice-President of Mark III Corporation, part-time faculty member at Ball State University (2004), and President (1989 and 1990) and Director (1984-2004) of the Apartment Association of Indiana. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Lions Club in Noblesville, and was involved with SCORE during the last year. Minor enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley motorcycles, and driving his 2006 Corvette.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Best of Noblesville, son, Aaron M. (Cate) Best, daughter, Marcy (Jack) Brittingham, and brother, Dale (Karen) Best. Minor was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 14 at First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument Street in Noblesville with visitation 1 hour prior. An additional visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 15 at Janesville Cemetery in Coles County, Illinois.
