Morris William Hancock passed December 17, 2014 at the age of 75. He was born on January 21, 1939 in Indianapolis, the eldest son of the late Carl Allison Hancock and Evelyn Gladys (Veeck) Hancock of Southport, IN.
He graduated Southport High School in 1957 and completed his education with a law degree from Indiana University School of Law Bloomington in 1965. Morris spent much of his law career at the US Department of Veterans Affairs, retiring June of 1995. Morris married Judith Faye Woodworth of Noblesville, IN in 1966 and later divorced. Morris was an avid music lover, golfer, bowler, and enjoyed traveling often with various family members.
Morris will be deeply missed by his loving family including his four children, Morris "Bill" W. (Heidi) Hancock II, Susanne D. (John) Elsey, Jacqueline A. Hancock, Kathleen C. Hancock; five grandsons, Alexander K. Hancock, Adam M. Hancock, Benjamin W. Hancock, Johnathan W. Elsey and Joshua M. Elsey. Morris is also survived by two of his siblings, Carl A. (Judy) Hancock II and Donna (Terry) Kindle.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lois Ann Fedowicz.
Friends and family will gather at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 12010 Allisonville Rd, Fishers, IN 46038 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood.
