Nannie Walters Hall, 91, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on March 3, 1919 to Talbee and Laura (Spriggs) Walters in River, KY.
Nannie was retired from McDowell School in McDowell, KY, where she had been a teacher and librarian for 36 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Organization in Noblesville, where she was involved in their sing-along group; was an avid reader; and loved to dance. She attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Noblesville; graduated from Morehead State University and earned her Master's degree at George Peabody College for Teachers.
She loved her family and is survived by her husband of 71 years, Estill Hall of Fishers; son, Thone (Shirley) Hall of Fishers; sister, Faye Ward of River, KY; nine grandchildren; and, 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Rd, in Fishers, with visitation beginning at noon prior to the service. Pastor Mark Lowe will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
