Nellie Johnson

Nellie Dean Johnson, 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at home. She was born on May 9, 1927 to Andrew and Esther (Perkinson) Goolsby in Iron City, Tennessee.
For 38 years, Nellie worked for Firestone Industrial Products, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Noblesville.
Nellie is survived by her son, Donald (Linda) Johnson; granddaughter, Dora Fleenor; great-grandson, Andrew Fleenor; brother, Andrew Goolsby; sister, Phyllis Kaye Lynch; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E Johnson; sister, Veora Creel; and brothers, Thomas Goolsby and Raymond Goolsby.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Rev. Richard D. Bell officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
