Nerissa Enlcita McKenzie

Nerissa Enlcita McKenzie, 75, of Fishers, IN went home to the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis, IN USA surrounded by family. She was born on April 29, 1949 to Rayfred and Casilda Murray in Silver Spring, Westmoreland, Jamaica.

Nerissa was a homemaker. Throughout her life, Nerissa left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community. A devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend, her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Nerissa had a deep passion for baking, solving puzzles, and most importantly, her love for Jesus. Her compassionate spirit and generous heart will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Sylvester McKenzie; daughters, Winsome Williams, Joan Myrie, Angella Tingling, Gillian McKenzie, Stacian McKenzie-Charlton, and Marcella McKenzie-Graham; son, Gerald McKenzie; grandchildren, Renarta Gooden-Miller, Telesha Gooden, Shadana Grindley, Tisha Myrie, Alison Erskine, Tashana Jackson, Kaylia Tingling, Tedroy Crooks, Roxanne Brooks, Ashwain Wallace, Gawain Wallace, Roxcene Wallace, Tazeia Hines, Breanna Charlton, Leonardo Charlton, Tahira Gibson, Lishae Rochester, Kenniel McKenzie, Rushawn McKenzie, and Aleshia McKenzie; and great-grandchildren: Nicole Rucci, Kaelyn Jamieson, Levaun Thelwell, Jaden Grindley, Aliyanna Erskine, Nikolai Brooks, and Taelynn Lindo.

Burial will be at Honeyghan's Cemetery in Westmoreland, Jamaica on April 25, 2025.

Nerissa’s legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
