Norma M. Bain of Noblesville died on November 11, 2011 at Riverwalk Village Healthcare Facility from complications of pneumonia at the age of 93.
She was born on February 22, 1918 in Windfall, Indiana. The daughter of Harry and Myrtle Michael, she was the last surviving of 13 children. She was graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. She was the widow of John Bain and Hobart R. Walton.
She was an independent contractor in the interior design sector of Indianapolis before retiring. Horticultural activities and her poodles were her passion. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The mother of two sons, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel M. Walton, who was a thoroughbred trainer and a graduate of Butler University.
She is survived by her son, Stephen R. Walton of Fishers, Indiana. Additionally, she is survived by two grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Rensing of Noblesville, and Matthew R. Walton of Indianapolis. She would have been a great-grandmother shortly had she survived.
A graveside service will be conducted at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville on November 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Jane Stanley will officiate the service.
