Norma Ellen Bramley, 99, died September 3, 2010. Formerly of Pensacola and Englewood Florida she moved to Noblesville to be closer to her family whom she loved dearly.
Ms. Bramley was a retired church organist and choir director. She also involved herself tirelessly in her church's missions and was a respected adult Sunday School teacher in both Pensacola and Englewood.
She was a frail youngster born into the McClelland family in Chicopee, Massachusetts, but overcame her handicaps to become an articulate communicator who was both generous and joyful. In addition to music, Bible study and her family (including our pets which we sometimes felt got more attention!), her other passions were the game of Bridge, reading and travel .
Preceded in death by her husband, William Bramley, her sister, Barbara Smith and brother, Lawrence McClelland; she is survived by her daughter, Linda Lassen, grandchildren Daryl Lassen (Christine) and Lynnell Koser (Brian) and 4 beloved great grandchildren, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Evan and Max. She was also very attached to niece and nephew, Carol and Norman Smith and her Sojourners Sunday School class in Pensacola.
Cremation has taken place and a service in her memory will be held Sept 10, at 11:00 am at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, Pastor Jack Wolfe officiating.
Memorials may be made to Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville, IN 46060 or a charity of your choice.
