Norma Jean Thacker

Norma Jean Thacker, 85, of Chesterfield, IN, formerly of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on October 12, 1926 to Norman Darrell and Naomi (Illges) Pyke in Tipton County, Indiana.
Norma worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 37 years at Riverview Hospital, and the former Harrell Hospital in Noblesville. She was a member of Women of the Moose, and a former Senior Regent. She was also a member of First Christian Church of Noblesville for over 50 years.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob Thacker; son, Mike (Pat) Thacker of Chesterfield, IN; brother, Nolan (Pam) Pyke of Tipton, IN; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pyke of Port Orange, FL; three grandchildren: Donald Pate, Lisa Jackson & Julie Cross; three great-grandchildren: Ashley Nance, Justin Bargo & Kaira Jackson; three great-great-grandchildren: Madisyn Nance, Justin Nance, Jr., & Ethan Nance, plus best of friends, JoAnn & Terry Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rick Thacker, in 2001; and a brother, George Pyke.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
