Norman Gray, 66, of Westfield, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born on June 11, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised in Connersville, Indiana. He was one of four children to Deloris and Norman Gray.
Norm was a Hoosier through-and through. Upon graduating from Indiana University, he went on to have a 30+ year career managing different departments for General Motors. Norm enjoyed seeing things go from nothing to something, whether it be fixing up tractors or tearing down and rebuilding houses. He loved seeing things that seemed blemished be turned new and improved. This was a great glimpse into his love for and faith in Jesus.
Norm’s greatest passion in this world was living out his calling as a father and grandfather. Throughout his life, he coached his sons and supported them in all their endeavors. Everyone who met Norm felt like they knew his kids due to his constant talking about them. He had a knack for becoming the biggest fan of anything his sons participated in, being one of the biggest Wheaton College football fans you could ever meet. Known as “Pops”, he lived into his role as a grandfather, providing an energy and joy that only he could bring. Never missing an opportunity to share who Jesus is, Norm was an example of Christ’s love for all those he interacted with. He lived into Romans 12:9-13 – “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Norm wanted others to know God more than he wanted anything for himself.
He is survived by his children, Brandon (Popie) Gray and Carson (Steph) Gray. He was a loving and devoted Grandpa (Pops) to his grandchildren, Samual Gray, Noah Gray, and Asher Gray. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary and Sherry Gray, and his brother Kenny Gray. Norm was loved and supported by his best friend Jami, who always kept him on his toes.
Norm was preceded in death by his father, Norman Gray, and his mother, Delores Gray.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm, on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.
In lieu of providing memorial contributions, we request you use any contributions towards Christ’s Kingdom. If you do not have a church to tithe to, in the words of Norm, “Go to church and tithe.” Norm’s final wishes for all: know that you are loved by Jesus. Your purpose on this earth is specifically for you, and only you can fulfill it. God doesn’t make mistakes, and He made you. Know that and believe it.
