Okey W. Cottongim, 84, of Westfield, Indiana passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at home. He was born April 30, 1924 in Indianapolis to Eliza J. (Woodall) and William F. Cottongim.
Okey was a retired veterinarian. He was a member of All Souls Unitarian Church in Indianapolis; the Central Indiana Veterinary Assoc., Indiana Veterinary Assoc., American Veterinary Assoc., and Animal Hospital Veterinary Assoc.; and the Sertoma Club.
He is survived by his wife Louise (Walstow) Cottongim of Westfield; daughter Pamala Trestrail of Carmel; foster-son John (Linda) Withner of Plainfield; foster-daughter Andrea "Andy" (Gary) Evji of West Yellowstone, Montana; foster-daughter Stacy (Frank) Kalder of Virginia; brother Orvil (Rose Mary) Cottongim; brother Harold (Dorothy) Cottongim; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4:30PM on Friday, October 31 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Friends may call Friday, from 2:00 to 4:30PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
