Parker Clark LaCross, age 20, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009, in Fishers, Indiana. He was born January 2, 1989, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Dr. Guilio LaCross and Laura Sorrels LaCross.
Parker was a sophomore at Indiana University majoring in Science. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Parker graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2007. He participated in National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club, wrestling, and various other activities. Parker had a keen interest in motorcycles, automobiles, and extreme sports. He enjoyed dirt biking, skiing, surfing, wrestling, lacrosse, soccer, and working on his car. Park was skilled at creating and repairing things.
Park was a nurturing, warm and respectful person who intuitively knew how to make others feel special with his kind acts. He thrived on taking care of others and making them smile. That concern was transferred to his love and respect for animals and their care.
On Sunday, January 4, 2009, a candle light vigil was held at the accident site. Many of his friends and family mourned and reflected on his life. Music, markers, flowers, messages and memorabilia chosen by his friends created a moving memorial ceremony.

He is survived by his father, Dr. Guilio LaCross and Penny Mom of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his mother, Laura Sorrels LaCross of Fishers, Indiana; his sister, Taylor LaCross of Fishers, Indiana; his grandfather, Guilio LaCross, Sr. of Modesto, California; his grandparents, Richard and Joan Sorrels of Columbia, Missouri; Grandpa Wayne Rapsavage of Warsaw, Indiana, and various cousins and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris LaCross and his great-grandmothers, Edna Voss Trower and Louise Pringle, and Grammy Peggy Rapsavage.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home in Fishers, Indiana. Services will be held on Friday, January 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Allisonville Road.
