Penny Meyer

Penny Meyer, age 60, passed away peacefully Monday, November 4, 2019, due to a sudden urosepsis event. She was born on October 27, 1959 in Elwood, IN to Russell and Mary Baugher. She married her friend and love, Ronald Meyer, in November 2016.

Penny loved to care for people. She was always looking for ways to support and offer guidance, often paired with her beautiful smile and laughter. A kind word, an embrace, or one of the many “cures” she had for any possible ailment was the manner she used to remedy any issue. Her ability to inject humor into a situation was a gift she had and shared generously with all who knew her. The health and happiness of her loved ones was of upmost importance and, if you were on the receiving end of that comfort, you were blessed by her servant heart.

Penny had a long work history that spanned many careers from banking, law enforcement, and dentistry.  She had a strong work ethic and lived by the motto that you “Leave things better than the way you found them”.

She never lived in a house because she made her dwelling into a home.  It was warm, comfortable, and always smelled good.  She would tell you that she wasn’t a very good cook, but she could “doctor anything up” and make it delicious.  Even her famous mac-n-cheese was a doctored-up version of Kraft Deluxe!  When she married a man who loved to cook, she made happy memories learning to cook what she called “real” food.

Her strong faith and devotion to God was a hallmark of her life.  She loved to share her knowledge of God’s love and help people develop their own personal relationship with the Lord.  Beginning at a young age at the knee of her grandfather, she learned of the unconditional love and support that strong faith provides.  She studied from his very bible until her last day.

Penny is survived by many loving family members and a host of friends, all of who she loved deeply and shaped their lives into the people they are today.

Please join us celebrating her life Friday afternoon November 8, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
