Philip Wise passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2020 in Noblesville, Indiana where he resided at 5 Star Senior Living. He had recently celebrated his 95th birthday with family and friends at the Noblesville Friends Church.
Philip is survived by his wife, Harriet; son, Brian (Jeanne); daughter, Ann DiJulio (Mark); grandchildren, Christie Congdon (Brian), Julie Morton (Ryan), Doug DiJulio and Cara DiJulio; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Philip was pre-deceased by his wife of 52 years, Joanna Bell Wise; by both parents, Edith and Emmett Wise; and by brothers, Robert and Kenneth Wise.
Philip was a member of the last graduating class (1943) of Arcadia High School and a graduate of the Purdue Agriculture Short Course. He was the sixth generation of his family to farm in Hamilton County, Indiana.
Philip spent his entire lifetime pursuing his passion of growing crops and livestock on his farm near Arcadia. He also supported his community by serving as director of Hamilton County Farm Bureau Cooperative, director of Tipton Federal Land Bank Association, as a leader of Hamilton County 4H, as a member of Bethel Lutheran Church Council and Building Committee, and as trustee of First Friends Church of Noblesville where he and Harriet were active members.
The Family thanks the caregivers, staff and nursing staff of 5 Star Senior Living, as well as Heartland Hospice Care for Phil's care during the last months of his long special life.
Services are pending with Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes in Noblesville.
**Private family services will be held. The public is welcome to join the family at a graveside service to be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday July 18, 2020 at Cicero Cemetery, 791 East 236th Street, Cicero, Indiana.
As a memoriam, the family requests to remember Philip by making a donation to the Indiana 4-Foundation, PO Box 3125, Indianapolis, IN 46206 with notation to the Wise Family Scholarship.
