Phillip H. Leapley, 97, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on August 30, 1923 to Dayton and Goldie (Latimer) Leapley in Cambridge City, Indiana.
Phil proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII in England where he was a mechanic on the B-24 aircraft. He owned his own filling station and tire store in Knightstown, and then worked for Ford Motor Company. Phil loved Ford cars, fishing, and enjoyed watch football games and auto racing. He loved traveling all over the U.S., Alaska being his favorite place to visit.
Phil is survived by his wife, Ruby Leapley; sons, David (Linda) Leapley and Terry (Sylvia) Leapley; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Leapley and Robert Leapley; and step-brothers, Jim Bertsch and Reuben Bertsch.
Private family services will be held with burial at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis. Randall & Roberts Funeral Home has been entrusted with Phil's care.
