Rachel W. Heath, 90, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Noblesville. She was born on November 7, 1919 to Ralph and Elsie (Jarman) Waltz in Arcadia, Indiana.
Rachel married Irv Heath in September of 1942. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Noblesville since 1946. Rachel was a graduate of DePauw University, where she met her husband. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and past president of Kappa Kappa Kappa. In addition, she had been an active volunteer for Conner Prairie Museum. She had taught English at Noblesville High School for 23 years. Her husband, Irv, was in the insurance industry for 32 years with Cresson and Heath Insurance Agency. She is survived by her husband, Irving; daughters and sons-in-law; Ann & Richard Gray and Marilyn & Peter A. Johnson, M.D; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph & Suzanne Heath; and grandchildren, Berkley & Masha Heath, Justin Gray & Jenna Perdue, and Grant & Bryce Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument Street in Noblesville, with Rev. Jack Wolfe officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville.
