Ray K. VanTreese, 83, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at home. He was born on April 19, 1930 to Raymond and Dorothy (Williamson) VanTreese in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ray worked for the Indiana State Board of Health as an inspector, and previously worked as a plant manager at Young Packaging Company, and also for the Indianapolis Star. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Noblesville.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia VanTreese; step-children, Mark and Lisa Chapman, grandson, Austin, brothers, Russ (Donace) VanTreese and Bill (Jean) VanTreese; and his twin sisters, Doris and Dorothy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Johnson; and brother, "Van" VanTreese.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Eric Gale will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
