Rebecca Jo Matherly King, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at home. She was born on December 23, 1952 to Roger and Lena (Brown) Matherly Glover in Noblesville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Teresa Matherly.
Becky was a 1971 graduate of Noblesville High School and a 1975 graduate of Marion (Indiana Wesleyan) College. Following her education, Becky taught Kindergarten at Heritage Christian Church and was a receptionist in the ER at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Becky's career path continued, highlighting 1991 to present and retirement from HP Enterprises, Inc.
Rebecca is a member of Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zionsville. Beyond her faith, she enjoyed gardens, particularly hosta, peony, magnolia & lilies. Beyond her love of family, she really liked hummingbirds & sports, especially IU.
She is survived by husband, Douglas Gene King; daughter, Catherine Renee King; mother, Lena Matherly Glover; brother, Kevin Matherly; in-laws, Donald & Marilyn King; brothers & sisters-in-law, Conan & Nannette McDonald and Greg & Angela King; and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor Walter Ullman officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
