Rev. Nelson M. Chamberlin

Rev. Nelson M. Chamberlin, 90, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at his home.  He was born on February 8, 1929 to A. Boyd and Esther (Morris) Chamberlin in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Nelson dedicated his life to serving the Lord by ministering for over 40 years at several churches. He touched many people's lives and ran over 45 divorce recovery programs. Nelson was very competitive and looked for any advantage to win. He acquired his pilots license in his 50's and built his own plane. Nelson also taught 62 people how to water ski and enjoyed coaching many different sports. He was a devout husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. 

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, LaDonna Marie Chamberlin; daughters, Lori (David) Fisher and Audi (Art) Cathcart; son, Monte Chamberlin; sister, Corrine (Tom) Baker; grandchildren, Eric Fisher, Duane Fisher, Lindsay Fisher, Noah Chamberlin, Chloe Chamberlin, Dustin Cathcart, Garrett Cathcart, and Jack Cathcart; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Grayson, Lucas, Eli, Aiden, Anna, and Zoe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack, Dee, Margie, Dawn, and Linda; and grandchild, Caitlin Chamberlin.

Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Castleton United Methodist Church, 7160 Shadeland Station in Indianapolis, with Rev C. Bert Kite officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to the time of service at the church.
