Rev. John Earl Parks

Rev. John E. Parks, 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 24, 1929 to the late William Paris and Merry Maggieleen (Ely) Parks in Pennington Gap, Virginia.
For over 50 years, John was a Reverend, and loved the people in the churches he pastored. He was a people person, and a friend and mentor to many. John was a loving husband, father, and grandpa, but his #1 love was for the God he served.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gladys M. Parks; children, Claretta (Curt) Monday, Alfred Parks, Darrell (Evelyn) Parks, Velma Turner, and Dewey (Rhonda) Parks; grandchildren, Tonya, Michael, Darrell Wayne, Stephanie, and Justin; great-grandchild, Makayla; and sister, Cornie Shepherd.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm Noon on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 1765 Hannibal Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Alfred Parks and Rev. Wayne Grace officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery.
The family would like to extend special thanks to In-House Primary for John's care the last 2 years, as well as the doctors who cared for him, and nurses with Home Health Nursing.
