Rev. Clinton E. Woods

Rev. Clinton E. Woods, 87, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Riverview TCU in Noblesville. He was born on October 5, 1928 to Harry and Elice (Sackett) Woods in Luther, Michigan.
Clinton dedicated his life to serving his Lord by answering the call to be a Pastor. He pastored the Green Bay Pilgrim Holiness Church, Hillsboro, and Sparta Wesleyan Churches in Wisconsin. Clinton also pastored Free Methodist churches in Livingston & Beaver Dam, WI; Birds, IL; and Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church in English, IN. He was also a chef at a restaurant and oversaw food programs at church camps and the public school systems. Clinton met the love of his life, Lorene, when he was 15 (she 13), and they have been married for 67 years. Together they served the Lord faithfully, side by side. Clinton retired from preaching, but remained active in his church in Washington, IN. He loved tending his garden as well as league bowling with friends. Clinton was a selfless, giving, patient and kind man who was a godly example to his family as well as to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene (Nave) Woods; sons, David (Kathy) Woods and Larry (Judy) Woods; daughter, Janet (Jim) Bechdol; grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Bechdol, Steven Bechdol, Michael Woods, Dustin Woods, and Leslie (Chad) Pryor; great-grandchildren, Clinton Bechdol, Jenna Bechdol, and Ellie Pryor; brothers, Conrad (Lilah) Woods and Dale (Wava) Woods; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam Woods, Howard Woods, and Raymond Woods; and infant granddaughters, Rebecca and Naomi Bechdol.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, IN, with visitation from 1:00 pm to the time of service. Pastor Bill Stotts will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
