Rex L. Cecil, 77, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on May 25, 1942 to Melvin and Thelma (Earl) Cecil in Noblesville, Indiana.
Rex worked as an auto mechanic and welder. He married Pamela Griffin on April 21, 1962. Rex enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting & fishing, and working in his garage. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife & soulmate of 57 1/2 years, Pamela A. Cecil; children, Michael (Cheri) Cecil, Rhonda (Douglas) Compton, and Erika (Chad) Flanders; brother, Sam (Donna) Cecil; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Rex was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Cecil.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the funeral home, with Tom Williams officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Westfield.
