Rex Duncan

Rex Alan Duncan, 58, of Noblesville, passed away October 18, 2012 at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver, after suffering a stroke while returning from vacation in California. He was born on June 18, 1954 to the late Arthur Roy and Evelyn Ruth (Keeber) Duncan in Noblesville, IN.
For the majority of his adult life, Rex applied his marketing talents to the automobile business, working for more than 20 years at Tom Roush, Inc., in Westfield, as the Mazda Sales Manager and earned numerous marketing and sales awards for himself and the dealership. He was a 1972 graduate of Noblesville High School; and a 1976 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He received his degree in marketing, an appropriate degree for one who had begun practicing his sales skills as early as high school, when he worked part time at Zeckel's, a men's clothing store in Noblesville. Rex was a member of the Noblesville Elks Club and the Indianapolis Yacht Club. He was an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast, enjoying golf, fishing, and boating on Geist Reservoir, Indiana University basketball and Colts football.
Rex had a passion for helping others and, true to this commitment, at his demise he was an organ and tissue donor.
He is survived by his son, Conner Alan Duncan of Noblesville; two brothers, Arthur Duncan and Glenn Duncan both of Elkhart, Indiana; one sister, Susan Duncan of Terra Ceia, Florida; two step-sisters, Janet Baughman Cady of Boston, MA and Ann Baughman Smith of Elkhorn, WI; two step-brothers, David Baughman of Louisville, KY and Daniel Baughman of Fontana, WI; and his former wife, Karen Duncan.
It is not how long you are here that matters. It is what you do with that time. Rex made the most of his time and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00AM at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville, Indiana.
