Richard "Rick" Gray

Richard "Rick" A. Gray, 54, of Carmel, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at home. He was born on August 29, 1959 to Harold and Phyllis (Lind) Gray in Logansport, Indiana.
Rick was a 1977 graduate and valedictorian of Pioneer High School in Royal Center, Indiana; and a Purdue University graduate. He was a Walgreen's Pharmacist for over 32 years, working as a store manager for 19 of those years. He attended St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Carmel. While living in Texas, he served at his church as a youth group advisor. He enjoyed golf and gardening. Rick was a loving and extremely devoted husband and father. Above all he was committed to his involvement with his children. He was a Cub and Webelo Scout leader; coached soccer and baseball; and always volunteered above and beyond to be involved with his children's events. Rick was always selfless, putting his family first. He and Catherine were married 31 1/2 years.
In addition to his wife, Catherine Gray of Carmel, he is survived by sons, Brian and Colin Gray of Carmel; daughter, Allison Gray of Carmel; his parents, Harold and Phyllis, of Royal Center, IN; sister, Rowena (Dave) Danielson of Vancouver, WA; brother, Terry (Shari) Gray of Fort Collins, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor Mark Wesler officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
