Richard Dean Williams, 80, of Fishers, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Fishers. He was born on August 29, 1932 to Harold and Ada (Whitlatch) Williams in Urbana, Illinois.
He graduated from Columbus High School in 1950, and attended Franklin College.
Richard was a real estate developer and owned Benchmark Builders, Inc., building custom homes in Central Indiana until he retired. He served in the United States Army Special Services during the Korean War.
He is survived by wife, Sheila Williams; son, Richard Dean Williams Jr; daughters, Deane "Dee" (Dan) Lingenfelter & Lisa (Phil) Chaney; step-children Joan (Glenn) Dutour; and Glenn (Pam) Cunningham; brother, Steve (Janet) Williams; grandchildren, Anne, Sara, Ryan, Luke & Cole; and step-grandchildren, Nicholas & Lucy.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
