Robert Woods Blythe, Jr., 92, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born on March 7, 1920 to Robert and Julia (Clark) Blythe in Lexington, Kentucky.Robert was an accountant for National Homes. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force; was a graduate of New Albany (IN) High School; and a 1952 Honors graduate of Indiana University. He was a member of Congress Street Methodist Church in Lafayette; the Lafayette Country Club; Beta Gamma Sigma; and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Blythe of Noblesville; daughter, Diana Blythe (Philip) Ephlin of Noblesville; grandchildren, Tracy Anderson (Matt) Mogol of Sag Harbor, NY, Joshua (Danielle) Richardson of Cupertino, CA, Kyley (Case) Hooper of Champaign, IL; and five great-grandsons. He was a beloved husband, father, Pop-pa and great-Pop-pa. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
