Robert S. Edelman

Robert S. Edelman, 87, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. He was born on September 19, 1926 to Morris and Lillian (Muller) Edelman in Brooklyn, New York.
Robert taught High School in Evansville many years, and before teaching was the director of educational television. He was also a television announcer for Channel 14 in Evansville. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Noblesville, and a Navy Veteran of W.W.II as a radio man in the Pacific Theatre. Robert volunteered at Conner Prairie for many years, and also at Riverview Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor J. Edelman; son, Bruce Edelman; son, Brian and wife Kate Edelman; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Steve Walker officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Noblesville.
