Robert E. Lehr

Robert Eugene Lehr, 80, Fishers, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was born October 6, 1928 in Noblesville to George and Clara (Harrison) Lehr.
Robert was a 1946 graduate of Noblesville High School and attended Clarksville Christian Church. He served in the Army during both WWII and the Korean War. After working for the U.S. Postal Service, Robert worked in sales at Omar Bakery; and had retired from both  Commonwealth Life and Monumental Life insurance companies where he had served as sales manager.  He enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, animals, and gardening (he especially liked gourds); and was an avid race and sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Ross) Lehr of Fishers; daughters, Diane Burton of Carmel, and Shelley Spaeth of Union, KY; son, David Lehr of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Pastor Steve Fair officiating. Friends may call Friday, February 27, 4:00 - 8:00PM at the funeral home. A graveside burial service will follow at 12:30PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood.
