Robert F. Shew

Robert Franklin Shew, 81, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1927 in Muncie, Indiana to Russell W. and Marie A. (Corkin) Shew.
Robert was a 1951 graduate of Purdue University. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in WWII. Robert was an owner and operator of a florist business for 27 years, as well as a small farmer. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville where he was retired from maintenance and grounds keeping service. He married Teresa Comella on November 3, 1957. Robert was a member of the Noblesville Lions Club, the Noblesville Twp. Advisory Board, the Noblesville Eagles, and the Mens' Club of Our Lady of Grace.
He is survived by daughter, Annamarie (Annie) (husband, Dr. Robert) Kinsey and son, Anthony M. (wife, Nikki) Shew, both of Noblesville; grandchildren, Jon P. (Amanda) Martin, Michael R. Shew, and Allie Russell Shew, all of Noblesville; niece, Kathy Moorhous of Arcadia; nephew, Steven Shew of Noblesville; and three great-nieces.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Comella Shew who passed on February 16, 1995 and a brother, Randy Shew.
Services will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville, with Rev. John Zahn officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
