Robert Joseph "Bob" Statzer, 59, Cicero, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in Pendleton. He was born December 25, 1948 in Noblesville, Indiana to Robert William and Madeline (Rogers) Statzer.
Robert worked for the Indiana Department of Corrections, at the Pendleton Prison Facility as an electrician. He had previously worked for P. W. Gollmer for 23 years and Dodd Electric for 12 years. He graduated in 1967 from Fishers High School.
Robert served in Vietnam with the U. S. Marine Corps. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; a member of Elwood Conservation Club and NRA. He loved the outdoors and participated in Rendezous. He also had a passion for building computers.
He is survived by his wife, Melody (Heffner) Statzer of Cicero; his parents, Robert William & Madeline Statzer of Fishers; daughter, Theresa Donn Powell of Cloverdale; son, Adam (Kathy) Wade Statzer of Noblesville; son, Brandyn (Shannon) Rey Statzer of Greenfield; son, Ryan Vaughn Statzer of Sheridan; son, Jeromiah William Statzer of Indianapolis; son, Jonathon (Elizabeth) Roy Statzer of Indianapolis; son, Christopher Lee Heffner of Lebanon; brother, Michael Statzer; sister, Nancy Snow; sister, Jeanne Tucker; brother, Jon Statzer; sister, Kimberly Kunkle; and seven grandchildren, Tyler Statzer, Athena Powell, Jessica Powell, Andrew Statzer, Jordon Statzer, Kaitlyn Statzer, and Dillon Statzer.
He is preceded in death one grandchild, Kyle Thomas Powell.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Bill Medlin, of the Frist Friends Church, officiating. Friends may call Friday, November 28, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
