Robert W Thacker, 88, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1924 to Raymond and Merle (Cummings) Thacker in Noblesville, Indiana.
Bob worked as a manager for Wimpy's restaurant in Noblesville, and also worked for Young's Packing. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Noblesville for more than 50 years; a member of the Noblesville Masonic Lodge. He was a recipient of the Pilgrim Degree, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and was a member of the Noblesville Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Mike (Pat) Thacker; grandchildren, Donald Pate, Lisa Jackson, and Julie (Chris) Cross; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Nance, Justin (Hannah) Bargo, and Kaira Jackson; great-great-grandchildren, Madisyn Nance, Justin Nance, and Ethan Nance; best friends, JoAnn and Terry Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife Norma Thacker; son, Rick Thacker; sisters, Norma Jean Thacker, and Betty Swank.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
