Robert Ward

Robert Gene  Ward, 71, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1937 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Dollie (Sampson) Ward and Coy Ward.
Robert had served in the U. S. Marine Corps.  He was a courier for Pony Express and had also worked in the finance center at Fort Benjamin Harrison. He attended Jesus Metropolitan Community Church in Indianapolis.
He is survived by Betty Cook of Marshall, N.C.; Carl (& Sally) Ward of Noblesville; Ted Ward of Noblesville; James Ward of Tucson, AZ; Mary (& Wayne) Aldred of Mesa, AZ; Alice (& Larry) Davidson of Ocala, FL; Martha Sue Commons of Brazil, IN; Delores Kay (& Larry) Cecil of Russellville, IN; Lowell Shoe of Noblesville; special friend, Bob Creasey of Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lois Marie Shoe, Coy Ward Jr., & Ruth Elizabeth Ward.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home Noblesville, with Pastor Jeff Minor officiating. Friends may call Saturday, August 2, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
