Roderick Burt

Roderick E. Burt, Noblesville, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was the son of Clarence and Vivian (Puckett) Burt.
He owned and operated Rod Burt Buick, Olds, Pontiac in Noblesville from 1970-1990. Since 1991 he had been vice-president of the residential division with FC Tucker in Castleton.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Noblesville; was active in the Belfry and Players Club; and was a charter member of Harbor Trees Golf Club. He was a graduate of Principia College where he played football for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny Burt of Noblesville; sons, Dave (LuAnn) Burt of Columbus, IN, & Steve (Anne) Burt of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law & family, Cindy (Todd) Boise of Carmel; two sisters, Jeri Erickson & June Keller of Bloomington, IL; two nieces, Fran Knapp & Anne Auwaerter; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Thomas H. Burt.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 30, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Dave Scifres officiating. Friends may call Thursday, October 29, 4:00 - 8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, and from 10:00 - 11:00AM at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
