Ronald 'Ron' S. Hill, 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at home. He was born on January 13, 1940 to Earl and Irene (Sivils) Hill in Harrogate, TN.
Ron had been a meat cutter for Standard Grocery for 15 years, and later had worked for Aunt B's Chicken in Noblesville. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Noblesville and the F & A M Masonic Lodge #57 for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Viola T. Hill, whom he married on December 11, 1956. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Ronda (Lorenzo) Watkins; son, Scott (Cassie) Hill; grandchildren, Sara Parrish, Cameron Weaver, Rachel (Jeff Fredrick) Simpson, Clara (Ryan Bunch) Simpson, Nick Simpson, Chris Simpson, Gage Hill, Nash Hill; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Bunch; brothers, George Hill & Glenn Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Sammy Hill (1974); great-grandson, Eric Zain Parrish; and grandson, Adam Dixon.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 2:00PM, and a Masonic service beginning at 3:30PM. Funeral services will be at 4:00PM with Rev. Richard D. Bell and Rev. Curtis White officiating. Inurnment will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
