Ronald Leo Matherly, 63, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born on November 1, 1955 to Randall Matherly and Bethel (Story) Hale in Noblesville, Indiana.
Ron loved Elvis, his music and movies. He collected Elvis memorabilia and enjoyed receiving anything to add to his collection, as well as visiting Graceland in Memphis, TN. He also enjoyed WWE wrestling, working on cars and maintaining things around the house. Ron loved his pug dog Bandit
He is survived by his son, Ronald "RJ" Matherly, Jr. of Elwood, IN; daughter, Bethann Riggs of Kentucy; mother, Bethel Story Hale of Noblesville; sisters, Judy (Larry) Mundell of Atlanta, IN, Bethel Laster of Elwood, IN, Trina (Ken) Beechy of Topeka, IN, and Tina Matherly of Anderson, IN; aunts, Blanche (Bud) Taylor of Greenwood, IN and Pam Story of Indianapolis; uncle, Bill Story of Noblesville and Paul Matherly of Anderson; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence Sr and Lilybell Story and John and Lucy Matherly; brother, Randall Matherly Jr; sister, Cynthia Matherly; aunts, Yvonne Coker, Nova Haggard, Villa Brown, and Helen Story; uncles, Garland Matherly, Edwin Matherly, and Lawrence Story, Jr; stepfather, Sidney Hale.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville with Rev Rick Huffman. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society, 1721 Pleasant St, Noblesville, IN 46060.
