Ronnie Dane Wilkins

Ronnie Dane Wilkins, 87, of Cicero, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at IU Health Saxony Fishers in Fishers.  He was born on September 1, 1936 to Howard and Billie (Carell) Wilkins in Hartford City, Indiana.

Ronnie proudly served his country in the Indiana National Guard for 37 years.  He worked for Firestone and was a member of the Cicero American Legion.  Ronnie enjoyed camping, turkey shooting, and field trials with his coon dogs.  He also followed NASCAR and sprint racing, and loved IU Basketball.

Ronnie is survived by his brothers, Joe A. (Judy) Wilkins and James W. (Karen) Wilkins; companion, Marilyn Turnbull; step-sons, Sonny Nordhoff, Scott Nordhoff, Steve Nordhoff, and Stanley Nordhoff; step-daughter, Susan Wann; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouses, Bernice and Dorothy; and his adopted daughter, Paula Darlene Wilkins-Jackson.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with services at 2:00 pm, on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.  Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
