Ruby June Tate, 89, of Fortville, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at her daughter's residence in Nashville, IN. She was born on May 8, 1926 to Ernest V. and Edith (Hefner) McKinnon in Indianapolis.
Ruby was a homemaker and had also been the cafeteria manager for Fall Creek Elementary School. She was a 1944 graduate of Fishers High School; a member of Fishers United Methodist Church; and a member of the Fishers Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son, Tony (Kathi) Tate; daughter, Donna (Bruce) Marks; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tate who passed away in December 2015; two brothers; and one sister.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Pastor Josh Ditmer will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.
