Russell Martin

Russell Clifford Martin, 87, of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 5, 1923 to Howard and Harriett (Anderson) Martin in Ellettsville, IN.
Russell was a WWII Navy veteran. He had retired from the Noblesville Schools bus garage; and attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Cliff (Patty) Martin of Anderson, Bob Martin of Anderson & Randy Martin of Elwood; sister, Norma Olmstead of North Glenn, CO; brother, Don 'Smokey' Martin of Martinsville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, B. Louise Martin in 1999.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with Rev. Richard D. Bell officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
