Ruth L. Fisher, 94, a longtime Noblesville resident, died Tuesday morning, February 19, 2013, at Riverview Hospital.
Born in 1918 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Hoosier farmers attempting to homestead, she grew up in Alexandria, Indiana. She adopted Noblesville as home after moving to the city in 1947 to work for the Charles Howard Insurance Agency. She met local contractor, Noblesville native John E. Fisher through her duties at the agency, and they married in July of 1949. Together, they worked side-by-side for 30 years to raise their two children, a grandson, and establish and build a home construction and real estate development business.
Mrs. Fisher was predeceased by her parents, a brother and sister. Her husband, John, died in 1979. Her children survive: John G. "Greg" Fisher (Celeste J. Williams), Indianapolis, and Karen Sue Davis, Noblesville. A grandson, Tom Reasoner, also of Noblesville, survives.
Other Survivors include nieces, Sandy Anderson, Noblesville, and Linda Gladu of Springfield, Ill., and a nephew, Mike Latchaw (Luanne) of Alexandria, and their families; as well as a special neighbor and friend, Michael A. Lanning, Noblesville.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, February 23rd at the First United Methodist Church in Noblesville. Calling will begin at 1 pm.

A private burial will be at a later date.
