Ruth Griffin
Ruth M. (Cain) Griffin, 85, Noblesville, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born January 2, 1923 in Noblesville to Mildred Mae (Tarr) and Elmer Hoover.
Over the years, Ruth had worked for Young Packing, and then the Ledger, and had retired in 1990 from Curtis Dyna Products. She graduated from Westfield High School and had been a member of Refuge Christian Church since 1958. She was very active in the Do-Si-Do Square Dance Club, enjoyed country music and her dogs, and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by daughters, Becky Singleton and Linda (& Lynwood) Flinchum, both of Noblesville; step-daughter, Joyce (& Mark) Hiatt of Allen, TX; brother, James (& GlennaRose) Hoover of San Antonio, TX; 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Before being widowed by her second husband, Richard Griffin in 1997, she had been married to Frank Cain.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton, officiating. Friends may call Friday, January 11, 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
