Ruth "Dodie" Grimes, 67, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at home. She was born on February 10, 1945 in Harlan, Kentucky.
Ruth worked as a bus driver for the Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation, and was a member of the Noblesville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Grimes; mother & step-father, Freda & Earl Jones; sons, Marcus (Lee) Smith, Telly (Andrea) Grimes & Brett (Jamie) Hicks; daughters, Amy (Scott) Shepherd & Freda Michelle Rice-Chisholm; grandchildren, Jennings Smith, Kassaundra Smith, Marlee Smith, Scott Austin Shepherd, Melody Shepherd, Patrick O'Brien, Taylor Rice, Allison Grimes, Benjamin Grimes, Vivian Scida, Natalie Scida, & Brett Hicks; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Basil "Bug" Summers Jr.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Noblesville Baptist Church, 1338 E Pleasant Street in Noblesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Noblesville Baptist Church Youth Group, 1338 E Pleasant Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.
