Ruth B. Hybarger, 92, of Sheridan, passed away on the evening of Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Magnolia Springs Senior Living at Bridgewater in Carmel. She was born on October 7, 1923 to William and Mabel (Riddle) Burrows in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ruth was a 1941 graduate of Broad Ripple High School, and graduated from Indiana Central College (now the University of Indianapolis). For 38 years, she was a teacher at Indianapolis Public Schools, retiring in 1986. Ruth enjoyed the Christmas season and celebrations, and loved reading, sports (especially the Chicago Cubs), and feeding & looking after birds. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with her beloved family.
Ruth is survived by her sons, H. Keith (Barb) Hybarger and H. Kim Hybarger; grandchildren, Hilary (Kyle) Bowman, Bethany (Matt) Moore, Heston Hybarger, and Katie Hybarger; great-grandchildren, Moriah Bowman and Savannah Moore; sister, Kack Moore; as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1958 by her husband, Robert Edgar Hybarger; sisters, Lucy Truan and Sis Parry; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Hybarger.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on March 24, 2016 at Harbour Shores Church, 8011 East 216th Street, in Cicero. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the church, with Steve Kester officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
