Sally Kay Preble, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on February 8, 1937 to Frank and Kathleen (Blair) Creswell in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sally attended Miami University (1955-1958) and later earned her Associate Degree in Applied Business from Shawnee State Community College in 1983. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa (National Honor Fraternity) and was on the Dean's list every quarter, graduating with High Honors. She had also been a member of the Milan (IN) School Board and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She enjoyed traveling, reading, antiques, sports and community activities.
She is survived by sons, Richard B. Preble of Jacksonville, NC & William P. Preble of Noblesville, IN; daughter, Kathleen C. Powers of Alpharetta, GA; and grandchildren, Madison B. Preble & Jilian Riley Preble of Jacksonville, NC, grandchildren, Michael P. Preble, David C. Preble & Matthew T. Preble of Noblesville, IN, and, Emily C. Powers & Caitlin E. Powers of Alpharetta, GA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Preble whom she married on February 28, 1958; and son, David B. Preble.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00PM on Friday, August 12, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 4:00PM prior to the service. Rev. David D. Pappas and Father Martin Peter will officiate.
