Sam Jonela, 28, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 3, 1990 to Mark and Georgienne (Gance) Jonela in Cleveland, Ohio.
Sam was a big Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music. Sam loved the outdoors and the woods. He was good at baseball, football, wrestling, and rugby. In his youth, he enjoyed going to Cinnamon Lake in Ohio and spending time with cousins. Sam enjoyed Disney vacations with his family. He really enjoyed soccer night with Ashley and the boys and wrestling with them. Sam loved being a role model as a dad. He will be remembered as fun and a loving person.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley (Wire) Jonela; parents, Mark and Georgienne Jonela; sons, Cameron Wire and Donovan Tucker; sister, Emilia Jonela; brother, Jack Jonela; grandmothers, Jacqueline Jonela and Carolyn Gance; father-in-law, Stephen Wire; and nephew, Wyatt Jonela Horner.
Sam was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stanley Jonela and William Gance.
Memorial services will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 2:30 pm to the time of service. Father Thomas Hann will officiate.
