Sandhya K. Ghag, of Carmel, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
Sandhya K. Ghag was born in Bombay, India. She was an incredibly accomplished, intelligent woman, having received her Master of Science Degree from Oakland University in Michigan.
She loved flowers, gardening, and springtime like no other. Giving love and life to her garden gave her tremendous happiness. Sandhya could name almost any flower and describe it with incredible enthusiasm. Sandhya was an incredibly avid runner, having run two full marathons, not to mention several ½ marathons and races. She was a workout queen and looked younger than her own nieces. She traveled to more places than most people ever will in their lifetimes. She was comical and adamant about her opinions. She loved her job at Eli Lilly and was well respected by her colleagues and peers. She was surrounded by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews whom she adored and vice versa.
After a year and a half in the homes of her sisters, she was finally back in her own home, able to see her garden. Though her time in this life ended far too soon, her spirit will continue to live on. She will be reunited with her parents, Bhai and Mai, now on the other side. She will be missed dearly by her sisters, Nalini, Asha, and Usha, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 21, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 10:00am to the time of service.
