Sherrie N. Sloderbeck, 96, of Noblesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1928 to Floyd and Bernadine (Ehman) Ricketts in Atlanta, Indiana.
Sherrie was a homemaker and also retired from Western Electric. She enjoyed embroidery, painting, puzzles, quilting and poetry. Sherrie loved nature and the outdoors, especially gardening, tending to her flowers, and bird watching. She was a member of White River Christian Church. Sherrie read her Bible daily, taught Sunday School for several years, and reflected God's love through her kindness, generosity, and caring of others. She loved helping people and always put others before herself. Sherrie always cherished the time she spent with her family.
She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. Sherrie is survived by her children, Robert Douglas (Ruth) Sloderbeck, Floyd Matthew (Lori) Sloderbeck, Sherrie Ann (Kelly) Collins, and Maria Rose (Michael) Davis; brother, Jerry Ricketts; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sherrie was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward "Bill" Sloderbeck; son, Michael Eugene Sloderbeck; granddaughter, Laura Renee Collins; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Sloderbeck; and her siblings, Judy Heaver, Elizabeth Brown, Kay Trevilian, Doris French, Fredrick Ricketts, Frank Ricketts, and Edwin Ricketts.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at White River Christian Church, 1685 North 10th Street, in Noblesville. An additional visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with funeral services at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the church. Pastor Andrew Smiley will officiate. Sherrie will be laid to rest next to Bill at Cicero Cemetery in Cicero.
